Simply the Coolest Music from Ava DuVernay’s “MIDDLE OF NOWHERE”
As the first African-American woman to win the Best Director Award at the Sundance Film Festival (2012) with MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, Ava DuVernay continues to shatter ceilings and crash through doors, creating new pathways for independent filmmakers of the Diaspora. The music she chooses does nothing less than support new and established artists.
Supporting some of our favorites and introducing us to great newcomers, MIDDLE OF NOWHERE offers selections from Fink, Goapele, Little Dragon, Meshell Ndegeocello, The Nonce and Ra’Re ValVerde, to name a few.
