Summer of 2012 Pic: Surfing in Hawaii, Living Life!

This image is one of BBN’s favorite pictures so far this summer: Naiasia Kennedy of Connecticut vacationing with her family in Hawaii.

The 19-year-old college student shows of her surfing skills in Waikiki on the island of Oahu. We can’t help but applaud this young, beautiful Black-Brown woman for her adventurous spirit and not worrying about getting her hair wet.  So many great experiences in life are missed because of the hyper focus and concern with our hair.  Go Naiasia….Live Life!
